|  Kalifano Globe Paperweight Kalifano is the maker of the finest globes and gift items. Each gemstone paperweight is handmade from hundreds of hand-cut, hand-shaped semiprecious gemstones. The paperweight is then buffed and polished to form a smooth surface, and the meridian and date lines are added with a fine 24k gold thread. The names of the countries and geographical features are then added and the globe is sealed in a protective resin coating. A flat spot is buffed into the South Pole, and covered with felt, to give the paperweight stability. The paperweight stands approximately 3" tall and is approximately 10" in diameter. The sheer craftsmanship, solid weight and design of this gemstone paperweight is breathtaking to behold.
